4 Powerful Prayers to Zeus!
In this article I will share with you 4 powerful prayers to Zeus, the king and ruler of all gods of the ancient Greek pantheon. He is the anthropomorphized incarnation of wisdom and divine power. He rains terror on his enemies with thunderbolts cast with great fury.
The thunderbolts symbolize raw and unforgiving power, but also his ability to give immediate enlightenment and wisdom to those that pray to him or summon him. Thus being “struck by lightning”, symbolically speaking, can be either a positive or a negative experience, depending on whether we are in good or in bad terms with Zeus.
To take a modern example, I find significant David Icke’s story of being struck by lightning while on a trip in Argentina, an experience that had a profound change on his thinking and his life’s mission. From a goalie and a sports broadcaster to a spiritual savant and guru! He is only one of many people changed by the universally revered god of lightning and thunder.
If you want to ask for favor from Zeus, the simplest way to do so is through earnest and heartfelt prayer. In order to help my spiritual brothers and sisters, I’ve compiled 4 powerful prayers to Zeus. Use them whenever you need a little extra of his divine power, protection and guidance in your life.
Prayer to Zeus for Strength and Power
Zeus the king of lesser gods
I raise my cup and my heart
My wish is clear for you to see
As is all that troubles me
I wish with all my bleeding heart
That out of many I’ll stand apart
To power, glory, all that’s great
In my journey’s blessed fate
From your hand as to a son
Grow my powers till I’ve won
Prayer to Zeus to Crush Your Enemies
As the mighty Cronus fell
On his throne you climbed instead
Mighty Zeus from ancient land
Shooting lightning from your hand
You that rule on mountain far
Raise my strength to bruise and scar
All lamenting that my star
Grows in length and width and shine
Zeus light up my rivals pyre
Zeus light up my rivals pyre
Zeus light up my rivals pyre
Prayer to Zeus for Wisdom
Zeus the king of lesser gods
The wisest ruler known to man
You bore great Athens out your head
With righteous voice still command
And on your counsel we depend
How I wish to be as wise
So lesser men I can despise
But out of love command them still
With the patience you instill
Prayer to Zeus for Protection
Father Zeus, I ask of thee
To make my home a castle keep
It’s walls to climb much too steep
And make my flesh tough as steel
So that foes won’t dare come near
Then make my voyage safe and light
And my slumber safe at night
To conclude
These prayers to Zeus can be used anytime during the day. Read them out loud, silently, or even better, memorize them. If you want to make a habit of these prayers, it’s best to pray once in the morning, afternoon and before sleep.
